Coronavirus: EKEDC Assures Customers of Stable Power Supply Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has assured customers of stable power supply as the nation prepares a possible shut down of economic activities, as part of efforts to manage and contain the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). In a statement signed by the General Manager, Corporate Communications, Godwin Idemudia, he noted that the company is doing everything possible to ensure adequate and stable power supply throughout the period of partial economic inactivity. Idemudia explained that EKEDC is among companies that plan to limit physical interaction by embarking on a COVID-19 temporary work plan that will prohibit entry into offices for customers and reduce staff physical activities to essential units in the company. It will be recalled that, the Federal, Lagos and Ogun State Governments recently announced that all non-essential workers in the civil service should work remotely from home, as part of efforts to discourage mass gathering and curb the spread of the Coronavirus. Idemudia urged customers to utilise alternative means of interaction with the company such as emails, social media and customer complaint lines available on the company website www.ekedp.com, adding that faultS and all forms of complaints will be resolved rapidly through these channels. He also encouraged customers to practice social distancing, proper hygiene and take necessary measures to boost their immune systems in order to survive the pandemic. He stated that EKEDC is aware that customers will spend majority of this period indoors, hence, the company is going through extra measures to ensure comfort of customers by providing stable power supply. He further stated that customers can pay their electricity bills via the website and third-party payment platforms.
